Itinerary Detailed:

Day 1 : Arrive to Islamabad

Today you will arrive to Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad. Group Dinner.

Overnight in hotel.

Day 2: Arrival to Skardu

Fly to Skar­du (flight is sub­ject to weath­er) Shopping for trekking gear if needed. Last minute training/running with Jay.

Day 3: Rest Day Skardu

Acclimatise to altitude in Skardu. Today is an important day to rest before the trip officially begins. Last minute training / running in the mountains with Jay.

Day 4: Skardu to Askole (3050m)

Today we will take the jeeps to make our way to our start point of the trek (7-8 hours)

First day alongside the river

Day 5: Askole to Jhula (3200m)

Start on a rel­a­tive­ly easy trail (3 — 4 hrs) alongside the river.

Day 6: Jhula to Paiyu (3450m)

Continue to Paiyu camp. The trail climbs to a view point of the muzzle of Bal­toro glac­i­er. In the far dis­tance is a phenomenal panora­ma of Cathe­dral Tow­ers and the tri­an­gle of K2 to the left for the first time.

Day 7: Paiyu Rest Day (3450m)

Today we’ll rest and accli­ma­tize for the remain­der of our trek - this is a very important day! A small hike to further acclimatise this day is most likely. Rest / group activities.

Day 8: Paiyu to Khuburtse

Grad­ual climb up Bal­toro Glac­i­er. After about two hours, the path divides at the muzzle of Bal­toro glac­i­er where the left goes to the BC of Tran­go Tow­er and the Sar­po Lago pass. Con­tin­ue climb­ing up on the glac­i­er that stretch­es up the val­ley. Arrival to Khuburtse.

Trango Towers

Day 9: Khuburtse to Urdukas (4000m)

A 3 hour walk with stun­ning views of Paiyu Peak, Chorichi, Uli Bia­ho, Tran­go Tow­ers. Urdukas is an incredible camp­site.

Day 10: Urdukas to Goro II (4300m)

Again, today is 3/4 hours, although this is the point where terrain becomes quite tricky with crevasses.

Goro-II camp­site is pitched on the stones and ice in the cen­ter of the Bal­toro glac­i­er with water from the glac­i­er melt. Its stunning!

Day 11: Goro II to Concordia (4700m)

A 5 / 6 hour more easy walk, with spec­tac­u­lar views and gigan­tic moun­tain panora­mas, includ­ing Muz­tagh Tow­er, Gasher­brum IV, Mitre Peak and the mighty K2 - you are surrounded by some of the worlds highest peaks - the views are just sublime!

Day 12: Concordia with K2 Base Camp (5135m)

Trek to the base camp of the world’s second tallest mountain, or rest day with panoramic views of K2.

Day 13: Concordia to Ali Camp + GGLA SUMMIT (5700m)

A 5 / 6 hour walk on Vigne Glac­i­er, with a  rare moun­tain panora­ma

Arrival to Ali Camp, rest and refuel - begin GGLA SUMMIT (further details will follow once booked)

Day 14: Khusbang (4800m)

Rest day after GGLA Summit.

Day 15: Khusbang to Saicho (3200m)

A 2 / 3‑hour easy descent on the glac­i­er. A climb provides spec­tac­u­lar views of the glac­i­er and jagged spires. Anoth­er 3‑hour walk through wild ros­es and fields of flowers.

Day 16: Saicho to Hushe / Skardu (3050m)

The final day of the trek follows the Hushe river for 3/4 hours, through bright green lush fields with splendid peace.

Day 17: Skardu Buffer Day

Day 18: Departure Skardu to Islamabad

Day 19: Trip ends / Fly home

The trip has ended, time to fly home!
